I recently came across this 'hardened' steel bushing for the Hurst Competition Plus shifters and had the opportunity to install them this weekend. This bushing fits great with no 'play' unlike the steel bushing Hurst offers in their 'Pit Pak'. The retaining spring has noticeably more tension and a better hold than does the Hurst. For this application, I replaced the 3 bushings at the shifter ... the shift rods are OEM and did not require bushings at the transmission end.
