Buying a used th350.....
Found this ad....can someone elaborate on the electronic part as well as the "corp housing" I have heard the electronic lock up is not preferred................here's the ad
I have a turbo 350 transmission with electronic lock up torque converter that will fit gm engines Chevy, Pontiac, Oldsmobile Olds, Buick. Has the multi pattern bellhousing.
I have never run this tranny so I can't guarantee anything but supposedly it worked fine when pulled. I went with an overdrive tranny instead.
These are hard to find! Cash and carry
Approx what does it cost to rebuild ( having it done in a shop) ? This is for swapping out a jetaway in my 68 Cut

That's a TH350c. They are supposedly weaker than the normal TH350.
Get a non-lockup typical TH350. They should be easy to find in your area.
Corp housing just means it has both patterns - Chevy and BOP - on it.

i never heard of a TH350 with a lock up. for the bellhousing, i see them that way from time to time. it don't make it worth more money. where are you located? here in Indiana, i have a guy that rebuilds TH 350s with stronger parts and new torque converter for $800. i have one in my Rallye 350 now and is a great transmission. if you are near me i will give you a TH350. i have them growing out my ears. i have some that worked when pulled for $40.

Unless you are drag racing with alot of power, a lock up will work fine. There are more, cheap options for high stall converters on non lock up 350's. You run 2-300 rpm lower, locked up on the highway.

Th-350's are pretty easy to build.. anyone with wrenchs, screwdrivers and a snap ring pliers can do one. The lock up trans is easy to identify by the square plastic plug on the side of the tranny. They came in 1,2,and 3 wire versions. Convertors are also easy to identify.. the non LU will be rounded on the flywheel side where as the LU will have a flat area about an inch wide under the lugs where the convertor clutch rides. Keep in mind there is also a TH-250 that is nearly identical to the 350 except they have a band adjustment bolt on the outside of the case. Stay away from these as they have a bad rep for being weaker.
