Hi Guys. Any help on this one would be appreciated. I recently bought a 1988 Cutlass Supreme Classic in like new condition. There's only 33,000 miles on it. Everything works except the lock up converter. I replaced the solenoid and the Hydraulic fourth gear switch and still no lockup. Checked and theres no power going to the three pin plug in on the trans. Is there a relay somewhere that could be the problem? Or what else can I look for? Thanx in advance Ed

 

Cars with lock-up have a different brake light switch. There is a plug on the side of the brake light switch to disengage the lock-up when you step on the brake pedal. Check for power on both sides of the plug.

 

Thanx for reading Guys. I found a broken wire in the harness yesterday and repaired it and have lockup now.
