88 & 98 Jetaway.

Hi there,
Maybe you have seen my post in the Transmission Section well this is referring to my transmission that requires a serious re-build.
According to the manual there are a few differences between the Jetaway in the 88 compared to the 98. I will put the page here and highlight the info.

The question I have is: does it really make that much difference with the parts that are different between the parts for 88 and 98.
I am going to get a Master Repair Kit I think they will be pretty standard. Looking at the manual it looks as though the different parts only make a difference to the output. Can I put the 88 kit into the 98 transmission?

Thank you.

Those are significant differences. Are you buying the transmission kit from Fatsco? If so, I'd send them an email with your questions. Hopefully someone can give some input that's been in your shoes before.
