71 350 to 4l60

Going to be putting a 4l60e into my 71 cutlass and want to know the best choice for adaptor plate to bolt it to my 350. Any info would be great!!!

You may have issues with getting the electronic trans to shift without a computer. The 4L60 (not e) is effectively the same trans, will do the same job, and uses a cable for kickdown and shifting.

The 4L60 (sans "E") is just a 700R4 with a different name. You'll have the same durability issues with either. Personally I prefer a built 200-4R, especially since there's no need to mess with crossmember location or driveshaft length. In any case, be wary of the adapter plates. Some only pick up four of the six bolts in the BOP pattern. Get one that uses all of them.
