i just swapped a powerglide for a th350 in my 65. the guy who i had rebuild it has been in the high-performance tranny business for over 20 years. he used a Trans-Go stage 1 street/strip kit and it works very well. from what he was telling me, Trans-Go just uses better quality materials and keeps drivability in mind, along with performance when you want it!! if you're WOT it will shift like a monster!! if your just cruising....nice and smooth. so when your taking your girl/wife out for a ride, she won't have her head snapped back every shift...unless you want it too :-)

If you do it in the car, be aware of the check *****, and the power of gravity. You will have to hold them in the pockets with vaseline.

If you lose any of them, you can pirate some head set bearings from a bicycle, and pop them out of the cage.
