68 cutlass kickdown

Hey gang,
Little help please. When I put my Cutlass all back together I never bothered messing with the kickdown because I think the original owner messed with it or something. So I am looking for a list of exactly what should be there and hooked up. I see the kickdown switch behind gas pedal. I did not look in detail if there is one wire or more coming off of it. I believe it was just one wire down to the trans but I can very well be wrong. Little help please! I am going to look for my manual at one point but figured I would ask the Olds gods here. Thanks! And its 350 and jetaway. Original equip except switched to 4bbl manifold/sister engine.

The wire from the switch goes to the trans, it should have 12v at the trans at near WOT (gas pedal floored)

There are two wires going to that kickdown switch (orange & pink) in a single connector, the pink wire goes to a switched 12V source and the orange wire goes down to the transmission. Find that connector, mate it w/ the switch and you're good to go. If the PO chopped up the harness under the dash and this connector no longer exists, you'll need to hook up the switch yourself and route a new wire down to the trans (if that's gone too). In that case, the wiring diagram will be helpful.
