Question 67 Olds kickdown switch electrical tabs?

I have installed a n.o.s Trans Kickdown switch for my 67 Cutlass and there are three electrical hook ups one for the Batt. and one on the horizontal and one on the vertical when looking at the switch, I know one is for the switch pitch converter and the other is for the trans kickdown. I need to know what one of the two tabs is for the kickdown. The turbo 400 I have installed does not use the switch pitch and has only one tab for electrical hook up.

Thanks ------------SID

You have 12v going in from one plug, and another plug with 2 wires in it. I believe its the vertical tab, but to be sure put a meter on it and see if you have 12v when the throttle is depressed.

For the kickdown just take put 12v on one side of the switch, and run a wire from the other side to the transmission.

If you don't mind what kind of switch and bracket are you using. I'm fixing to do the same to mine! Pic's??

Other pictures I have seen of this switch are a round variety.
For what it's worth, this is my original install.
The wire colors may help.

I misread your post!!! Ok the single wire and plug is your 12v. The double wire and plug is for your kickdown and switch pitch signal. Take a voltmeter to the two terminals on the switch housing and see which one supplies power @ wot only, I believe its the top one! I would have to look when I get home for wire colors!

Question 67 Olds KIcktown switch

I installed the new N.O.S Delco kickdown switch the way it is discribed in the Olds service manual and my kickdown still will not work. There is 12 volts power to the switch and the switch pitch tab has power but not the trans kickdown. I find it hard to belive the new switch is bad any Ideas on what could be wrong or is there something I am not doing right to set the switch?
