The 65 Sfire should have a turbo 400 switch pitch trans in it. This was the first year of this trans from GM......in 64 the Slim Jim trans was used behind the 394 while the 330 used the 2 speed Jetaway.....The factory shop manual will show all diagrams of the trans.....I can only suggest you look for one on Ebay.

Cool avator, the car is almost as tall as the house. You may be able to get a manual from fusick or usa parts supplies.

Good luck finding what you need.

Hello,

I have an electronic copy of the 1966 Oldsmobile Chassis Service Manual. It includes a chapter on transmissions, including the Turbo-Hydramatic 400. That should be identical to your 1965 model.

Unfortunately the manual is waaaaaay too big to fit as an attachment (369 MB). If you've got a place where I can upload it, I'd be happy to send it your way.

Mister

I am currently rebuilding my file server. It should be back online in a few weeks. I think I can provide ftp access at that time.
