455 flywheel part number?

455 flywheel part number?

does anyone have the oem part number for a 455 flywheel or know where I could get it?

Standard transmission flywheels show up on ebay regularly. Just be sure you get the correct bolt pattern to fit the 455. Visually, I can't see the difference between the early 330-400-425 bolt pattern and the later 350-400-455 one.

If you can get one from a boat the only wear will be on the ring gear. All the boat motors I've seen use manual transmission flywheels for the starter but have nothing like a clutch on the face of it. John

'64 330, '65-'67 V8 flywheels are all the same, part #389248. All '68-'76 V8s (including all 455s) are the same, part#398071. There is a part 408877 listed for the '71 and '72 442 with the rare double clutch, but it would interchange with the 398071.
The bolt pattern is different between the early a later ones, so the wrong one won't bolt up.
