200-4R Tail Stock Movement - Worn Bushing?

I was under the car today inspecting doing routine maintenance and noticed I can move the driveshaft a bit coming out of the transmission. It’s not leaking oil at all from the seal. Is some movement acceptable? I notice it clunks when downshifting into first depending on my speed.
I don’t want to open up a can of worms for something that may be normal. I have no vibration when driving .

Thanks
Jeff

It should be relatively tight. I have replaced that bushing before. It can be done without pulling the trans. There is a special puller for it, it took less than an hour to swap.

Thanks for the info. I think I will buy one of those pullers and get a bronze bushing and a new seal. I like the idea of doing it in place.

Its a good time to check out your yoke.. mine had developed some pitting and that caused the failure.

I put new driveshaft in last year with a new yoke etc. I noticed the play then, I should have done something last year about it. May be a bit worse now. Hard to tell.
