1973 442 4spd interchange
I have a 77 cutlass and looking at a 1973 442 455 4 speed parts car runs drives body is gone and interior shot wondering if everything from 4 speed car will interchange into my 77 im thinking it will just what to check. Thanks, Derek
Yes, assuming you use the engine that has the crank drilled for the pilot bearing. And the 73 will have a double hump crossmember vs. the single hump on a 77.
I'd love to get pics and info of the parts car if possible for the V Code registry site. I'm maintaining '73 info in addition to 1972 cars since I'm not sure that Bob Cline is doing the '73 V Code registry anymore. Thanks.
Terry
Derek - As Joe mentioned, yes the parts will or "could" interchange, depending on what you're changing.
What model/body style is your '77? Is it an automatic or manual?
Terry, is that registry strictly for V-codes?

My 77 is a cutlass supreme brougham I was planning on swapping the engine and trans and all the 4 speed parts pedals linkage z bar ect into my car and leave my 40/60 bench. I figured all the parts would interchange with little problems just wanted to double check.
Thanks, Derek
