I have a 1966 442 with a Jet A way automatic Tranmission, the T shift handle is in the console. Yesterday Iremoved the T secition of the handle, now when i try to re install it the shift bottom does not engage anything. I know it probably something simple. rut its got me stumped .


Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site, I moved your post to the transmission section. I'm not familiar with the shifter in your car so I'll let others who are respond. Post a proper intro in the Newbie section when you get a chance. We do like pictures.

I think the problem is it's not seated all the way down properly. You need to compress the lever in the handle portion and then put the 'T' part back on securing it with the set screw.
