Considering a Toronado
Considering a Toronado
I'm considering purchasing a Toronado. I already own a Cutlass and a Dynamic 88 convertable. I feel a need to add to my collection. I don't have any experience with a Toronado, so I'm looking for advice. Should be interesting to see the responses. My biggest question is - What year is the best to own? I know it is a matter of personal preference, but is there one year or a group of years where the car was more advanced or better made? I must say I do like the grill and lines on the 1967 the best. But, I think it only came with the 425. The 455 didn't start until 1968? I'm considering 1966-1972 models. Thanks. Larry
I own a 1970 GT toronado. but I would go with a 1968. You really can't go wrong with any first generation Toronado 1966-1970. pick the one you like no mater if its powered by the 425 or 455, there just great cars and engines

Toronados are good cars; however, they are a bit small. I drove quite a few first generation Toros and they are all too small for me. Of course, I am a really tall guy too. I think I like the lines of the 70 Toro better than the 66 or 67.
1966 Toronado
The 66 Toronado was the purest Toronado. I am selling my Original 77K mile Red 66 Toronado. Check it out on ebay. She's a killer machine. She's even finer looking in person. Contact me with any questions. azarborist@hotmail.com
No, she stays here at the ranch with me. She's much too valuable. She's a '79 model & I've got her tuned just right. Snaps your neck back when she jumps off the line.
Feel free to bid on the Toronado though.
