The grille on my 70 Toro seems to be chrome covered with silver paint, does anyone know which parts were painted and which parts were chrome from the factory?

 

I've had a few Toronado's and I believe the 1970's had grills that were chrome plated plastic. Like the egg crate grill pieces on the 1969 Toro's. I'm not sure but there might be a difference between the standard model and the GT....Also the parking light bezel was chrome plated plastic to match the chrome bumper ends.

 

So, the whole grille was just chrome, no silver paint? Or was it some combination of each?

Also, did all 70 Toros have black painted headlight bezels, or were some chrome? I saw a 1970 ad that has chrome bezels, but have never seen one like that for real
