1969 Toronado
hi there. I have a 69 toronado I just purchased and it seems to be sitting really high in the front end. See picture, any suggestions on why this would be? The shocks seems to be fine in the front and rear. Thanks in advance.

looks like somebody stole your engine and transmission last night...lol
seriously though. the toronado uses an adjustable front torsion bar suspension to set ride height. someone adjusted yours a little to high.

I did see that once I enlarged the image. I did a Google search and it appears these folks do software manuals for service centres. The question is do they sell vehicle specific manuals to do it yourselfers?

Bjesser0425, I would not stress too much about your Toronado sitting a little high in the front when it is parked. Most Toronado's seem to assume this posture at rest. It does on mine as well. Also my 72 Eldorado with the same fwd system does the same thing. I do notice when the Toro and the Eldorado are moving the front end lowers and the vehicle levels out. On the Eldorado I had the torsion bars adjusted to lower the front end stance by 1-1/2 inches and had problems with tires hitting the fender lips when going over small curbing turning into my driveway or store parking lots. So I had it cranked back up to the original height to save my tires and avoid damaging the fenders edges. If you do decide to lower yours, do it in small increments to avoid this problem.
