Thinking about getting a set of chrome disc brake wheels. I have a set that are good candidates for chroming unless I find a set already done in nice condition. My car currently has the PO3 option wheel covers but considering going to chrome wheels as I have the rings and center caps already waiting to mount. Anyone have these? John

Hi 68. Yes, the disc brake wheels can be hard to come by. The spares I have actually came off of parts cars that in fact did not have the disc brake option but were mixed with drum and disc brake wheels. They are just painted wheels but in good condition. I have one estimate from a plating house to chrome them for me but I am skeptical as to how good a job they can do. If a set already done in excellent condition should turn up I would probably go that way, even so as to have replacement ones on hand in the event of a catastrophe. Thanks for your reply. John

 

Are 69 Toro wheels the same wheels? I have a set of 5 with a 69 I may part out.

 

Thanks for the posts guys. I would only be interested in show ready wheels or else I am going to get my spare set chromed.
