Toronado transmission and engines

Hi everyone.

Question about Toro transmissions and engines. For the 80s cars, are the transmissions the same for the Toro, Riv, Seville and Eldorado? Do the respective divisions' engines all use the same bolt pattern to bolt up to the trans, or does the trans have a different bolt pattern for each? I've looked through all the Toronado threads here and nothing comes up. Google is of little help as well.

Thanks everyone.

The TH425 uses a BOP bolt pattern that will also fit a Cadillac. Toronado engines used a special oil filter adapter, I can't comment on what others used or how they fit.

I've experience with 1960's and 70's Toronado's but am not familiar with the 1980's. The 1978 used a 403 with the same BOP bolt pattern which I believe is the same as Cadillac. You might try looking at parts to see if they use the same numbers... may be RockAuto or some other online parts site? John

Pretty sure the THM325 as used in those cars all had the same bolt pattern, whether they were V6 or 307.

Thanks guys. The project is on hold now so I have a little more time to figure it out. I was just trying to open up my choices for transmission by looking at the other cars, but I want to use an Olds engine so I guess I'll just look for Toronado's and be done with it.
