Toronado styling concepts on ebay

Original Toronado styling concept artwork from stylist Charles H. Stewart currently on ebay. Certainly out of my price range, but pretty cool.

Cool, Thanks for sharing. I like the bottom one but would "think" the windshield would leak

A small price to pay for style.

Always loved these types of sketches. Its neat to see what styling cues made it into production. I have seen a bunch of Len Casillo's drawings of the 73 Cutlass and they are very similar and just as cool!

I'm not a fan of the big rear fender "tub" on some of these, but you do get a flavor of the "crease" on the 1970-72 Cutlass rear fenders. The second gold one with the black top hints at the 67 Eldo roof.

The second illustration hints at the grille of the '68 Cutlass and I think those down-turned tail lights in the third one made their way onto full size Pontiacs in the late '60s.

Always fascinating to see concept drawings and mock-ups, and then spot styling cues that were taken from them onto different production models.

Those bulges over the rear wheel wells was why I bought my 70 Cutlass. Always like that look.

You definitely have a good eye Joe... It is interesting, however, that some of the various design concepts do carry over from year to year or vehicle to vehicle, whether or not deliberate from a design standpoint or something that just unintentionally happened...
