Misc. '66 Toronado questions
Hi,
A few '66 toronado questions:
- The AC system in my car has been dormant for many years, discharged but closed. What are the odds that the POA valve will cause trouble? Should I send it out to be rebuilt? I plan on using R152A.
- I've never worked on such an old A/C system - Do these use o-rings or are they flare joints?
- What's the easiest way to get to the dryer?
- Can the oil pan be removed once the axleshaft is out of the way? The relief valve in the oil pump needs to be shimmed (it discharges now at 45PSI) and I'm not sure if the TH425 allows access to all oil pan bolts.
- What's the easiest way to remove the heater fan? It was earlier pointed out to me that "The chassis service manual says you must remove the right hood hinge, hood, antenna and unbolt the blower motor, then rotate it and take the fan off inside the fender then take the right exhaust pipe off the manifold and drop it to remove the blower motor." At that point, removing the fender must be easier...
Thank you.
Mikel
