FwD caddy Toronado Quast.

Not sure but it seems like the cadillac 500 fwd trans nearly the same as the fwd toronado?
maybe someone can help.

Axleshaft

I must disconnect the trans from the engine But not sure if i have to open the diff cover to remove the shaft.?

I have unbolt all the bolts which hold the differential to the trans but no space unbolt the last fuxxx bold which hold the diffential to the trans.

Diffcover

Hope really some can help.
Thanks

With a short wrench, or possibly a crow's-foot wrench on a ratchet, you should be able to get to that last fastener. If not, the passenger side shaft just pulls out of the differential once you remove the passenger side axle mount attached to the motor. You may have to tap it with a hammer to get it to release, but mine slid right out. Once the axle is out of the way, unbolt the torque converter and seperate the engne from the trans. Then you will be able to access the last bolt/ nut holding the differential to the trans.
