first gen toro rear disc brake conversion

I was wondering for the rear disc brake conversion, can I use any parts off an 84 seville? I keep hearing about guys using the 76-78 eldos, but I was wondering if any of the brake parts from the 79-85 eldorado/ seville would work (since I know some misc parts did carry over)? I have yet to see a 76-78 eldo in the yards here, but I come across a 79-85 eldo/ seville every once in a while, and if I could use parts from the rear disc brake setups from one, that would be pretty cool.

That would be the last thing I'd do ...

IMHO the 79-85 (80-85 Seville) rear disc setup is made of fail.

Yikes! That does not sound like a good brake system. I know the 80s GM b/ c bodies (88/98/brougham/deville/lesabre etc) had some issues with the rear discs, but usually only if you did not use the parking brake when parking, and nothing as bad as what was in that thread. I'll guess I'll scrap the idea of 79-85 E body rear discs. I'm guessing the 76-78 eldo/ toro rear discs were just as bad?

Not sure about fit but you might consider the rear discs used on the 94 to 96 Chevy Impala SS and 9C1 Police Caprice.
