I just did a valve lifter replacement, ever since I put the intake manifold back on the alt. light has been on when driving. I checked the battery and it is charging correctly and all wires are plugged in, any other suggestions? Thx.

Ruh-roh, it came back again after I disconn/reconn. the battery, first it was dim, then when I drove it again it was full brightness, then was dim again the next time. Maybe it's battery cable-related?

 

Check the ground but my money is on a diode in the alt. I had this problem with my 64 a while back and had the alt rebuilt. KOW no more problems
