66 Toro plastic vacuum lines

About those tiny shiny black plastic vac lines with the Comfortron setup, just how were they attached from the factory? seems like once they're off they won't go back on again. Were they heated and shrinked to connect them?

They are rubber, they just push onto the fittings. From age they get hard and keep their shape especially depending on where/ how the car was stored. If you are having difficulty with them, you can use a razor blade to cut off the expanded end and use a heat gun or hair drier to put a little heat into the end allowing it to get soft enough to slip onto the fitting.

Must be a very different kind of rubber, very hard shiny almost looks like plastic. Very tiny lines that connect the Comfortron modules under the hood. They don't seem to bend or flex, very rigid.
Does anyone reproduce these?

I don't know of anyone who reproduces them with the colored stripes in the small size. You can replace all of them with small diameter rubber vacuum hose as long as you keep track of where each end connects to.

Corvette also uses those hard plastic lines. That's another source.

Yes, the Vette lines are tiny. 1/8" or so. The line pushes into rubber junctions.
