It's a base model. No A/C, power windows or locks. I'm going to put red lines on it. I love these cars.

Spoke too soon. The car won't be ready this year. Maybe by the 12th of never. Trans input shaft seal leaks a little. Why didn't this get changed while the motor was out? Good question. Lots of other small things too. Missed it by that much! I really wanted to have this one out this year. Last year too! I posted this 3 months ago. Nothing has been done except find more problems to fix. I've had it.

I feel your frustration, brother

remember, you love these cars.

And, a small leak CAN be tolerated.

Pulling the engine isn't THAT hard

Oh yeah it's a Toronado.... well, it's POSSIBLE, anyhow

Sure looks nice. Love those old Toros myself.

The bottom of the car is perfect. I can't let the trans fluid leak all over it. That HAS to be fixed before I drive it. The whole drivetrain and suspension were taken off and redone. It's a really nice big paperweight at this point.
I was walking by the car while picking up a DD out of my place and looked at the trail of tranny fluid headed to the drain from the Toro. I looked at the mechanic standing there and said, "Hmmm.....I wonder what's up with that?" He knew at the time what was up, but didn't say. These guys are ALL the same. Worthless. I've never met a shop owner who did what they said they were going to do. Not friggin one.

That's a nice ride ! Yeah the leak sucks , my 72 leaks via the oil pan , which is crushed . I need to get that dealt with soon . I bought one of those after market chrome oil pans years ago , but I'm not putting that on there .

Yer darn right he's going to make it good. That's why I'm not driving it. I heard there was a fire in the unit next to mine yesterday but my stuff is fine. I need to get that car (and other) things out of there. This has turned nightmarish. Trapped in a Toronado Hell. None of my stuff leaks. It's a thing with me. I have a concrete driveway. I don't need any stains because of oil. I ask the service guys to park in the street. They look annoyed. Too bad. I don't need your van leaking on my drive.

Saw the car today. Nothing, no progress, hasn't even been moved. I can scream all I want, it won't make them fix it. My only recourse is to bring it somewhere else or do it myself. Right now I have more money than time.
