1988 Trofeo IPC and interior lights problem

From germany a friendly hello at all. I own a 66, 88 and 91 toronado. I bought my 88 trofeo as a realy survivor with only 33000 miles on it. But since I owned it shows many electronical malfunctions. Most I fixed...

But a new gremlin got my car some weeks ago:
Any time I start the engine the Instrument Panel Cluster flickers 4 to 5 times, than stay on (most time) but I get a "Lightning Problem" message then. Sometimes while driving IPC goes black - and comes again...
At daytime in sunlight the IPC works if I switch the headlamps on.
But at nighttime, in the dark, IPC goes black with headlamps on.
With every button I press IPC goes dark. Cannot read any trouble code. No change from english to metric, no buttons lights at ac cluster or radio or right and left panel switch.

But AC Display and Radio works every time (only no button lights).
Door and floor lights, headlamps, parklamps, rearlamps are working properly. Engine runs fine like ever.

All fuses are ok. Relais seems also ok. Photocell is new, IPC reworked, proofed and OK. Cannot find any wire problem.

I bought a new Central Power Supply CPS and changed it but the ac display shows only "---" then and further absolute no IPC signal. So I used the old CPS again and send the new one back to dealer. AC display works again and IPC if it like to work.

Any idea?

Hello, Welcome to the sight!!

That is a nice looking TROFEO you have there!

My guess would have been the Central Power Supply, but seems you have tried that already?

Was it new or a used one?

You may try replacing your BCM [Body Control Module]

Thank you very much.

The CPS was a remanufactured one from cardone, but it doesn´t work.

An other CPS and/or a new BCM would be nice, may be. But here in germany I cannot go over the street to buy em.
I have to order them in USA again. With shipping, german duty and tax it would be a expensive try if it doesn´t fix the problem.
