1981 windshield wiper arms

again with no real source of written information / assembly manuals or anything.

Toronado specialists---- what is the correct wiper arm for the 1981 E body Toronado. This car --helping a friend-- has two different wiper arms. one is the "pin" end & the other is just a straight edge NO shepherd hook.
I"m voting for the "pin" end. Also, please tell me that the length would be the same for the 98, 88, and possibly the cutlass of that same timeframe. i am finding it quite difficult to find parts for these era cars. can anybody drop names of your sources for parts ?

So you're talking about the wiper ARM, the thing the blade attaches to? I think you'll need to find these from a junkyard car. These things rarely need to be replaced, and, you're right, I can't find anyone who sells the arms new.

GM p/n for the arms are 3079272 for RH and 3079273 for LH. Black in color. Fits 78-85 Toronado, Rivi, and Eldo, too. Not sure if factory ones were black.

Best I can tell you have the pin type based on the blade and refill callouts in the parts information. Trico or Anco made the blades and inserts. I believe, but not certain, Trico made the arms for GM during that era.

The 81s and prior had 16" blades from the factory. In 1982, they started using 18" blades, and anytime a car with the 16" blades came in for wiper replacements, they used the 18" blades. Just an inch on each side difference.

As far as the arm with no pin- the tip may have come off one of the arms maybe?

I know it's not much help, but that's what I can find for now.
