Hello! I am in the middle stages of a concourse restoration of my 1967 Toronado. I am looking for a perfect set of original chrome wheels, center caps, and trim rings. My bodyshop guy has not been able to locate any. Does anyone have any idea where I may find a set and if I find them, how much can I expect to pay? Thanks!

 

Those will be hard to find. Have you considered having the wheels you own rechromed? I had the bumpers on my 71 98 rechromed and they look great. There were a few small dents in my bumpers and light surface rust on the inside and along the bottom of the rear bumper. Now you can't even tell there was rust on them.

I was considering having them rechromed but I was told to rechrome them correctly they would have to be disassembled to chrome just the center section and then aligned and rewelded? Does anyone know of anybody that has had theirs rechromed? How costly might that be? Thanks!

 

You might want to call a rechroming company to get information directly from the horses mouth. When I sent my bumpers in I had to remove the taillight moldings and the hardware around the license plate. I doubt the wheels would have to be disassembled.

FWIW, I paid $1400 to ship my bumpers and have them rechromed. I used Goodmark to do the rechroming. While they did an excellent job, their customer service was lacking.
