1968 442 alternator number

Can anyone give me the correct GM number for a alternator on my BB 68 442 non AC car? I see a lot of claims like 1100777 or 1100693 etc. like to get a virgin correct one dated before 4th week of April 6. What date code would that be? Thanks matt

With A/C or heavy duty cooling, the correct alternator is 110777. I believe that's a 55 amp unit. Without heavy duty cooling, the correct alternator stock number is 1100767, which I believe is a 37 amp unit.
