Trim Code 980-R

Hi, I have a 66 442, and trying to decode the cowl tag. I think I have most of it, but it shows a trim code of: TR 980-R. Can someone decipher that for me?
Thanks,
Randy

I think the 980 refers to black vinyl interior. Not sure what the R stands for. I have the letter B on mine and I have never found out what that was for.

74 parts book decodes 980 as black vinyl Strato-bucket seats in Cutlass (3800) Holiday Coupes and convertibles. Not sure about the B or R suffixes though I suspect it may be headliner color. I've only seen black or white headliners with black interior fabric and the 74 book goes back only to 1967 on headliner.

It does have the black vinyl bucket seat interior, just wanted to be sure it matched the plate.
Thank You!

Rare seats there, Randy. The R is for reclining passenger bucket seats with headrests.
