Service your headlight dimmer switch

Replaced my dimmer switch last year but I thought I'd have a go at repairing the old, original, 1966 one from my Toronado. Be careful with those pot metal tabs, very very fragile! Other than that, should be easy enough to service and keep it going for years to come. The problem with this switch was that if you had it on the low beam setting, you had no headlights. Everything came alive on the highbeam selection. Replacing the switch fixed them problem but it just jooks like the low beam contacts were simply really dirty,

Very cool.
All too often I buy new things instead of taking the time to take apart and see if I can fix them myself.
This is good inspiration, thanks.
