Mysterious letter D in cowl tag

Joe gave great insight in the past about my Cowl tag. Thanks Joe!
I don't know where to ask this but I have been looking for info on one thing that I can't seem to find.
My cowl tag has a letter D on the top and I don't see it on any other pics and I have not been able to read anyone else asking about it. SO
Top says General Motors Corporation.
The first line on the left has 06B---Built 2nd week of June.
The first line on the right has the letter D?
Thanks for any info.

I don't know if anyone knows. My 66 has the letter "A".

On a late model Corvair that's the letter code for the -interior- paint. Even if you have a black car with black interior, the interior black is different. True for any color I suppose. I don't know if Olds did the same thing as Chevy.

Maybe it's related to the "Z" on the 70-71's.

What is the "Z" on the 70-71 indicate?

That's a high option 442. That letter in that location has been discussed before, and no conclusion made. The hole punched for 66 shoulder belts was in that location the year before, but all non-convertibles got seat belt shoulder anchors in 67 no matter if you ordered it or not, so that's not it.
