1966 Tri Carb Questions

I'm restoring a '66 L69 setup. I have the three correct carbs, including the 575 center carb. My Plan is to sell the completed setup after restoration.

Are gaskets available for the two exhaust crossover covers, or do I need to make my own?

Also, What should I apply to the bottom of the manifold to keep it from rusting until it is installed on an engine?

Is the Duplicolor DE1604 Gold close to correct for the engine color?

Does anyone know of a source for the AC glass bowl fuel filter? The OEM one has 1/4 NPT female threads. Any I've seen are only 1/8 NPT.

I don't think the intakes were ever gold. Wouldn't it be the copper/bronze color ?

The block off valves do not use gaskets, they are machine fit.

The 1966 Rocket 400 was bronze, not gold. There are many repro choices for that color. You may want to prime it, then paint it one coat with a bronze, knowing that it will probably be painted to exactly match an engine later by the customer.

Thanks for the answer on the block-off plates. Any clues on the correct color and/or the glass fuel bowl?

I had to make a gasket for the thermostat housing. The Fel-Pro gasket paper is really nice--about 3/32 thick, but really tough, not easy to tear, but easy to cut to fit.

There's an early 60's Cadillac glass bowl fuel filter that is pretty much identical to the L69 filter. It's of course much more common.
I found one on eBay quickly. The mounting bracketry is reproduced.
