'52 Olds suspension question

I wanted to find out if there is some sort of conversion kit to replace my existing(original to vehicle) suspension in order to install shocks? Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to have to do any cutting if I don't have to. Is there such a thing as an easy replacement kit???

with out cutting and welding not that I know of.

From what I've read on the net post fill the factory shocks with thicker oil or grease if the seals are really bad and just fabricate new mounts on the side for standard tube shocks. That is going to be the easiest option if you want tube shocks.

There is also this but you have to find the right parts in order to make it work and welding is involved.

Fisick does have a rebuild service for knee action shocks. This would probably be cheaper (though not cheap at all) than fabricating new hangers and having to buy new shocks also plus changing the originality of your car.

If you add fluid to your leaking shocks don't go with hydraulic fluid that is thicker than ATF or your shock will no longer be a shock absorber...Tedd
