Forgive me if this info lurks in previous threads; I have browsed. But wondering if anyone can share experience or insight on lowering the ride height of a stock '69 442 with a 400 w/AC using 1" or 2" lowering springs. The sense I get is that it's trial and error with no way to forecast the result. I know customization is limited in this way. But I'd like to lower the stance somewhat without drama or requiring modifications. Wheels have changed from the 14s to 17s, but overall wheel height is similar, but now wider. Tips for which brands of spring for quality, consistency and/or expectations would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
