I am having problems greasing my tie rod end grease fittings. Turning the wheels to the extremes allows best access however my straight end grease coupler won't even come close to fitting. So I see my options as purchasing a 90 degree grease coupler adapter and hope it fits or finding the correct size 90 degree nipples.
Today I purchased a package of 1/4"-28 90 degree fitting and the threads were too large by a fraction. I measured the width at 6.23mm, Conversely the existing straight nipples are slightly smaller at 7/32 or 5.64mm and interestingly turned with a 7mm wrench not an SAE size
On Ebay I have only been able to find the straight nipples that would be correct and would match up with what I currently have and on Amazon I'm only seeing 1/4-28 or m6 x 1 (not sure if this latter would fit better)
Any suggestions on what would be the correct 90 degree fitting size and where to purchase?
