The 1.25" front bar from the second gen Trans Am is an inexpensive option. I've bought several at swap meets for $25 apiece. Rear is more of a problem. Ideally the A-body cars want a much larger rear bar to counter the inherent understeer, and increasing the front bar makes that worse. The largest factory rear bar is 7/8". If you can find an aftermarket 1" or larger, grab it. I've found several in the 1" to 1.25" range at swap meets.

1.25" front and 1" rears, they worked great on the blue car.

Good info Joe. Ill keep my eyes open at Carlisle if I dont find anything clean used Ill take you up on that website Mike. I had done a lot of research before I decided on the coils and shocks and I just wanted something that would take advantage of those in a curve. Hope it hits the mark.

Yes, any 1964-72 A-body. Personally I'd go with a $25 F-body front bar and pocket the difference, however.

No, the 2nd-gen F-body bar only works on the 64-72 cars (and possibly the 73-77, but I don't know that for sure). You can get a factory 1.25" front bar for the 78-88 A/G body cars. Just use one of those.

The parts place inc. has the fronts listed on Ebay for $89 and I think another $20 for shipping. They're zinc plated instead of gloss black.

There's usually someone with a 2nd gen T/A bar on Ebay, I just picked one up for $40 shipped but I'm sure the way to go is cash at a swap meet.
