Suspension Question

Hey my fellow olds owners i have a quick question i just finished installing my suspension rebuild kit and front coil spring on my 72 supreme but i ran into a problem the lower ball joint nut doesnt seem to be all the way on the drop spindle how do i pop it back on being so it had to be press off in the first place ?

Do you possibly have a picture of what you have?

But, also, the ball joint stud should just slip in, far enough to leave plenty of threads sticking out the other side for the nut to screw on to.

If it doesn't, something is wrong.

i got it figured out come to find out i forgot to put the dust boot on it which was leading me to think that there was a gap sorry lol rookie mistake
