Stock ride height question

I have a 71 Cutlass S. 350/auto. Was an a/c car, but I removed all that.

I'm wanting to lower it, but don' want to go too far. I was thinking 2 inch drop spindles with stock springs in front and 1 inch springs in rear.

My question, is what should the stock ride height be? I am trying to figure how much my stock springs have given up.

Thanks,
Josh Hucks

With the standard springs and measuring from the bottom of the outside of the rocker panel to a level floor;
From the point on the bottom of the rocker rocker panel one inch rearward of the front door opening it's 10-1/4 inches.
From the point 3 inches forward of the rear wheel opening it's 10-1/16 inches.
If you have a factory service manual it's in the front suspension section and it's called the carrying height.
You can check out the service manual at Wildsaboutcarsonline if you're registered there too

I have a hard copy, I sold the car but I used to never never leave home without it.
I kept it because it has so much of my blood, sweat, and tears covering the pages from my four year Vista Cruiser resto it's almost like a living part of me.
