Shock Matchup

I'm having problems with getting the right air shocks for my 71 cutlass supreme convertable. I'm working with Napa and we have ordered 2 model numbers of monroe shocks. The MA805's were totally wrong and the MA717's have the right mounts but seem to be twisted 15 degrees or so. Is this how the shocks are supposed to be because the rusty old ones don't seem to have this twist fom mount to mount. Has any body ordered any lately that would have the correct model number? There isn't a way to modify the degree of twist out of the shock is there. Should I just punt with NAPA and get them somewhere else. Any insight would help, Thanks.

The 805 is for the Vista Cruiser so a no-go there.

The 717 is for 1973-'77.
Did the place even look at the Monroe app guide???

If you go to the Monroe site you can check the applications and the Cutlass of any type in 1971 -'72 (except wagon) uses the Monroe MA762 air shocks.

Thanks for the in put. Some times it takes someone to come in and look at the big picture. Don't know what happened to the NAPA reps, they use to be the last of the inside salesmen that knew a little mechanical work. Gone are the days.
