Horizontal Shock Absorbers for 66-70 Toronado
#2
You mean the old knee action shocks right? I am going to fab some perches on the axle and some mounting plates on the frame to use modern cylinder type shocks on my '48. Just in my head, haven't gotten that far yet but that is what people have done in the past.
Opps, now I see there is more to your title, for 66-70 toronados. Disregard my last statements, don't think they will help...

Yeah, never mind, my mistake. Knee action shocks, not long and cylinderical but sort of like a lever off of a box that has some sort of coiled spring inside, weird. The called them knee action because the worked like a person's knee.

66-70 Horizontal Rear Shocks
Hi, As far as i know, they are no longer available on the market. I had the change to buy a NOS Set of them on Ebay a few years back, but paid a horrible price for them. Also there is a Steering Damper for the Front, and some people try to sell them as horizontal rear shocks also, don't have the AC Delco parts numbers in front of me, but will post them soon as I found them.
