I sent my power steering gear box for my 70 442 to powersteering.com to be rebuilt and Marty indicated I needed to replace the rag joint. I received the replacement from OPGI and it does not have a ground wire like the original had. It had to be there for a reason. Can anyone tell me if this will be any issue? Can these be disassembled so I can just use the new rubber?

 

Can you take it off the old one and add it to the new one?
