Reassembly of the steering column after turn signal replacement

So, I had to replace the signal light switch. When I took it apart, the signal light arm was originally at 9 oclock, the hazard light switch know was at 3 oclock. when I put it all back together, the arm is now at 8 oclock and the hazard light switch is at 2 oclock. I tried multiple times taking it apart and trying again, but it all fits together with the same outcome. Does anyone have any idea what happened or what I'm doing wrong?

Did you take pictures as you were taking it apart? Did you compare the old with the new part?
Post some pics of how it's assembled now.
