Rear Shock Installation Question

I just installed new rear shock absorbers on my '70 Cultass S. They're KYB Gas-a-Just shocks and I installed them with the supplied hardware. My question relates to the lower attachment to the rear axle. The shock appears to be quite twisted in relation to the axle stud - see the pictures below. The shock looks like it might pull off of the rubber bushing. Now at the moment the body is off the frame, so there's no weight pushing down on the suspension. I'm a little concerned - do I have a problem here or should I wait and re-evaluate when there's body weight on the suspension? Any insight would be appreciated.

Looks like the shocks when we used to jack up the rears in highshool back in the day. I would say that the rear is to high without weight on it. Otherwise, adjustable upper control arms will solve the problem if your driveshaft is in the same off angle.

I think your good, the weight of the body will straighten that right out.

Mine were the same way when I put my KYBs on about a year ago. I haven't put 5 miles in them since so let us know if they straighten out ).

I dont know if the body being off has anything to do with it. I have same shocks on 71' Cutlass S, with body on, and it does the same thing. Though I do have the interior out, so it is lighter. But it looks exactly like OP pics.
