Power steering gearbox

Looking to replace the leaky power steering gearbox on my 66 442. Summit carries several brands, both short ratio (2 1/2 turns) and stock (4 turns), reman and new with prices from $200-500.Any recommendations?

The quick ratio box is a great upgrade, even more so if you opt for a firm-feel unit. A good Saginaw box (re)builder that many like and have used is Hector Carillo - he goes by the board name Carhex on many sites -

you can find him on facebook and/or by searching this board (or the V8Buick board).

Another great vendor https://www.steerandgear.com/

Internet search is your friend, there are many other options both new and rebuilt, budget permitting

I would have your box rebuilt; would not trust a remanufactured unit or a new chinesium product. If you want a quicker ratio, most rebuilders can replace the internals to get want you want. I had a local (Houston, TX) shop rebuild my vari-ratio box for my '72 442 convertible project converted a 12.7:1 fixed ratio.
