Pitman arms

Anyone know of a source for a pitman arm for 75 delta 88? mine ended up loose and now has play which gives you a death wobble at certain speeds, even after tightening. sigh...

That pitman arm should be the same on any 1971-76 GM B/C-body car.

If your getting the death-wobble in a rear-wheel-drive car you should give everything upfront a thorough inspection.

Inspect BJs, Bushings, Shocks, Steering linkage, Steering gear/box, rag joint... et al.

After you replace the P arm have someone sit in the car (engine on if it has power steering) and rock the steering wheel back in forth while you are under it to visually see what else is flopping around.
This won't catch everything some items you need to pry on etc...

You need to remove the shocks to feel for full function.
Tires are suspect with death wobble as well...balance, rim run-out, age.
After all this get it aligned by a shop well versed in old iron.

I also suggest doing a bit of trouble shooting. The pitman arm is not really a wear item, which end is loose?

Pitman Arm IS Non Wear on that car -- and 99.8 % guaranteed , is Not the problem....

If the problem is in the steering -- then definitely must check the wearable items of the steering components -- the Center Link, the Idler Arm, and the Inner &'Outer Tie Rods....

Should check the suspension -- the Upper & Lower Ball Joints and the Upper & Lower Control Arm Bushings....

If you want quality U.S.A. components for what you need ----
