moog springs choices

Cool moog springs choices

well i have a '65 f-85 and when i load up my buddies to go to the bar(when i get DD duty) it sags very badly in the rear.. i've looked at other threads here on springs but can't decide which would be better for 5 adults crammed in my car
the Moog CC501's or the Moog 5385's..i believe they should both fit but if i'm wrong let me know

anybody have any experience with either of these?

My quick research is that those #s you listed will not work. They are too short and are for newer models.
I did not even see any moogs at Rockauto for your car, only Raybestos. Rear is 5891004 and are standard replcements.
However, if you have the original springs with high mileage, then they are sagging and the new ones would help.
Not drinking so much would help, too!

True. "Back in the day" my buddies got heavier and heavier the more they drank. The proof was that when they finally passed out, they were almost impossible to move - pretty much had to leave 'em wherever they dropped!

thats why i love this place! lol i forgot to change my search from newer as my 350 obviously isn't from my '65

oh man these guys are heavy enough..my cousin is 6'5" 220lbs, my brother is a good 230, a friend that's 6'2" 230, and the small guy at 6' 175lbs BEFORE they drink haha thats the normal group so it happens often that its draggin and the police think we're some low-rider gang bangers then they see a bunch of metal-heads and let us go on our way

I installed the MOOG #6197 today, MUCH better!!!
