coil over front shocks
Yes, lots of companies. UMI, Ridetech, Detroit Speed, Speedtech, Hochkiss, Global West, and a host of others offer options. Most of the "bolt on" coilover solutions will be a hybrid setup. The top part of the spring goes into the stock spring pocket, the bottom of the spring interfaces with the coilover shock body. The coilover shock body is mounted to the lower control arm and upper shock mount. This is because there really isn't enough room on the stock A-body front suspension to get enough shock travel. Going to a true coilover generally will require either a dropped lower control arm mount (most common) or cutting the frame up top and welding in a raised mount up there. The potential downside to the hybrid is side loading of the shock, though I don't believe that's been a major issue with the big brands out there (Viking, QA1, etc).
Question is, why do you want coilovers? Ride height adjustment? Performance? Bragging rights?
