Engine rebuild needed in SF Bayarea

Hi,

after having chased down countless issues with my car and visiting 3 mechanics... it looks like it is time for a rebuild on my 371.

I need the names of some reputable and backed by the forum re builders for my olds engine.

Any in the SF Bay area or near by is preferable.

Thanks
Rick

Rob's machine shop in Hayward. I researched quite a bit before realizing that most of the shops in the Bay never seen a Olds engine let alone worked on one. Rob Sr. build 2 SBO for me and he knows what he is talking about. They are usually really busy and you might wait 2-3 months for the completion, but believe me you will be happy.
Check out their website www.robsautomachine.com

If you decide to go there tell them Eddie with an Olds sent you
Whatever you do don't go to Clark's in Cupertino.

Thanks for the info. I'll give him a call Monday.

How much was your SBO build, roughly?

Recino's in South San Francisco assembled the short block of my 455. Haven't got it running yet, though.
