My starter on my 71 350 is going bad.Any reconmodations on a goodreplacement brand? Or should I have my old one rebuilt.It is turning over slower and slower ,Battery is good. Thanks,Scott.

 

I say have your old one rebuilt at a local auto electrical shop. Usually same price as an offshore reman and you KNOW it will fit back on your car without issue.

 

X2...i have had horrible luck with the parts store starters and alternators. if you get another one i would go with a GM reman. i am to the point i would use a used starter before going to the parts store for one.
